AIR FILTER CLEANING KIT – WP25110

Cleaning Instructions

ITG’s CL‑1 cleaning fluid is designed for a two‑stage cleaning process. First, the CL‑1 breaks down the sticky dust‑retention oil in the filter; then the residue is rinsed away using warm water.

1. Apply the CL‑1 Cleaning Fluid Spray the CL‑1 generously over the entire filter and work it thoroughly into the foam. Make sure the fluid penetrates all layers—add more CL‑1 if needed until you’re confident it has soaked through completely. For best results, allow the filter to sit for 2–3 minutes, then massage the CL‑1 in again to help it break down the oil.

2. Rinse with Warm Water Rinse the filter thoroughly using warm water until all traces of cleaning fluid are gone and the water runs clear. For improved cleaning, run water from the clean side outward to help flush out any remaining dust. This rinsing stage should take no longer than 4–5 minutes. Do not leave the filter submerged for extended periods, as this may soften or damage the internal glues.

3. Dry the Filter Place the filter in a warm, dry area and allow it to dry completely. Do not use a high‑pressure air line or a heat gun to speed up drying.

4. Re‑Oil the Filter Once fully dry, re‑oil the filter using ITG JDR‑1 or JDR‑2 dust‑retention oil. If these are unavailable, use only oils specifically formulated for foam air filters. Suitable brands include: Silkolene, Motul, Rock Oil, Shell, No‑Toil, and Q8.

Important: Do not use cotton gauze filter oil, engine oil, or any oil not intended for foam air filters
