The W&P Moto‑Lita gearknob is a precision‑engineered shift knob designed to fit all production years of the classic Mini. It features a hybrid construction combining billet‑machined aluminium alloy with a hand‑finished sapele hardwood insert, delivering both mechanical durability and period‑correct aesthetics.

Construction

• Main Body:
• CNC‑machined from billet aluminium alloy for structural rigidity and low mass
• Smooth‑turned profile to ensure comfortable grip and reduced shift effort
• Clear‑coated or anodised surface (depending on production batch) for corrosion resistance

• Wood Insert:
• Made from sapele hardwood, selected for dimensional stability and fine grain
• Precision‑lathed and hand‑oiled to achieve a warm, tactile finish
• Bonded to the alloy body using high‑strength adhesive to prevent separation under vibration

Mechanical Interface

• Thread Compatibility:
• Manufactured with the standard Mini gear lever thread, allowing direct installation without adaptors
• Suitable for all classic Mini variants, including early rod‑change and later remote‑change mechanisms
