WP Mini Bulkhead Blanking Plate

The Wood & Pickett Mini Bulkhead Blanking Plate is designed to provide an effective seal between the engine bay and cabin, helping to enhance comfort, reduce unwanted noise, and improve overall refinement.

Featuring an innovative two-piece construction, the blanking plate can be installed around the existing wiring loom without disconnecting or removing any wiring, making fitting quick and straightforward. It is suitable for all classic Mini variants, with the exception of MPI models, which do not feature the central bulkhead opening. However, the plate can still be fitted to MPI cars for cosmetic purposes.

By sealing the bulkhead aperture, the blanking plate helps to:

• Reduce engine bay fumes and odours entering the cabin
• Minimise engine noise transmission
• Improve insulation from heat
• Provide additional protection against dirt, moisture, and external elements

Manufactured from a durable carbon fibre composite material, the blanking plate is built for long-term reliability. An integrated rubber perimeter seal ensures a secure fit against the bulkhead, while dedicated rubber grommets provide protected pass-through points for both the wiring loom and speedometer cable.

For added convenience, the wiring loom grommet is split into two bonded sections, allowing it to wrap neatly around the existing loom during installation, delivering a clean, factory-quality finish.

Installation

Installation requires drilling four pilot holes in the bulkhead for the supplied self-tapping screws. For best results, we recommend using a 2.5mm drill bit.
